Suspension, Withdrawal & Recertification Policy

The Certification status is not permanent and can change from time to time. SISA certifications when not active and current may fall under one of the below status categories:

Suspension: Suspension is a temporary state where one’s certification status is unavailable due to special circumstances and can be reinstated upon successfully fulfilling the required conditions.

The certification department can suspend the certification status under the following conditions.

  • A violation of ethics case is registered against a certified member and the decision is pending
  • If the member fails to provide any verification details requested by the certification department related to the eligibility criteria or exam attempt.

Withdrawal: Withdrawal is a permanent state where one’s certification status is no longer valid.

  • The certification department can withdraw the certification status under the following conditions.
  • The certification expiry date has been crossed
  • A Violation of Ethics case has been concluded and the suspended individual is found guilty
  • The certified member does not wish to continue as a certified member.

Those who wish to withdraw their certification status can fill the support form HERE.

Recertification: Recertification is a state where one’s certification status is reinstated.

The certification department can grant recertification only if an individual successfully passes the latest version of the exam available, valid for 3 years from date of issue carrying a unique ID number. Those who wish to apply for Re-certification can fill the eligibility form HERE.
